Mixed media project
This project was over Mass Media and how it affects our society and relationships, it teaches us to hate each other, it teaches us that our opinions are wrong if they differ from someone else, it teaches us that you cant step out of line, its hypocritical, it divides us. I chose to do my project over mass media because I've seen how it changes relationships and makes us pick a side. For this project i used pain t, water colors, alcohol markers, and led. I think i could've done better if I had a better image of what I wanted to make and used some better techniques to make the sheep the main idea of the painting. the sheep represent us and how susceptible we are to misinformation or how easy it is to make us think a certain way. And the blue and red TV represents the mass media and the sides it forces us to take.
Halloween Pumpkin Photography drawing
This is my pumpkin photography painting, I had a lot of fun making this and it really helped build my confidence in painting. I started out a bit unprepared but I quickly got back on track and started planning out my painting. once I realized that the size of my pumpkin was too large so I shrunk it down and got back to work, after I had the base colors down I started shading and shaping the pumpkin. after shading I worked on details and I finished slightly before getting all of the details in. I am really proud of this painting and it's set a standard for my future artwork.
Macro Fruit Photography Painting
This is my Macro Fruit Photography Painting, during the process of making this i started to have doubts about almost everything. I first started out doing a green chili pepper to resemble my grandma's love for her culture and cooking traditions. after finishing my sketch and starting the art-piece; i decided i didn't like the vegetable i was using. After i chose to start fresh with a new idea, and mindset, i decided to do a watermelon to resemble summer and my love for a nice summer day. after choosing my fruit I was faced with choosing my reference picture i had found a picture that i figured i could make work then almost immediately ran into an issue, the canvas shape was clashing with the circular watermelon. I felt forced to change the shape and reference for the watermelon. i could have kept the rectangular style but it would be harder to follow the picture and it looked less like a watermelon. or zoom out the photo a bit; however i felt like that wouldn't work out either because its supposed to be macro. so i settled on a new style, a half-cut, up close, watermelon. from there i was finally focused on shading, color matching, and blending. i ran into a problem consistently throughout this project; finding the right shades of red and pinkish red, towards the end i accidentally painted it bubblegum pink and had to fix that last second, draw the seeds and they're seed dips, and the rind. i finished it roughly 3 minutes after the final class. i honestly didn't have too much fun creating this project, i found myself unprepared and fixing avoidable mistakes due to poor planning. I'm happy with how my piece came out and want to take this as a learning lesson to be better equipped with a clear idea of my painting.
Anything but a canvas project
​When starting this project the first thing I wanted to paint on was something from home. I looked around for some inspiration and found a white fabric lamp in my office. I decided it would be perfect for this project. I next chose what The lamp would be able to fit across the entire surface and came to the conclusion of a sunset ocean. towards the end of the project i noticed it didn't have enough to the painting, nothing that caught the eye. I got some suggestions from my peers and we came to the choice of adding black mountains and birds for contrast. and to add the touch of stars to the sky. In this painting I used Paint, Paint brushes, A tooth Brush, A lamp, And crinkled paper. Overall i'm very satisfied with this project and I think it helped me learn and grow, it was a different challenge using a non-standard canvas.
Pen,Ink, and watercolor Project
Before Starting this project I came into the idea with a closed mind, i had already had a prejudice against water color, and i especially against pen. i found myself struggling to choose what to make so I decided to just pick an animal that i saw often. when i started on my sea-horse i was struggling to get the tail and dimensions correct so i decided to take it home and work shop it. I had finished the body and color scheme for the sea-horse and it was time to start with the water color. i got too nervous to use regular water color so i chose to use the water color pencils for this project to give me more control over the colors movement and mix.after i finished that i had to start the pen portion which i was not ecstatic about, i decided to put her in a seaweed field with bubbles from the seaweed around her. overall i ended up loving pen and watercolor, this project really helped me grow with my techniques and my problem solving skills when something goes wrong.

Ink Pour Media
I made this ink pour after a few failed attempts and put my new car in the pour by cutting out the paint and replacing it with the car.
Paint Bubbles Media
I made my bubble mixture and used a precise movement to keep the bubble shape then added an ink monster over it.
Ink Blowing Media
I made multiple extended lines of ink by blowing them in different directions then used posca pens to make a pokemon on top.
Smoke Media
I used a lit candle and put the sut on the page then drew the thing
Paper Marbeling Media
i used swirls and circles to create a flowing and free feeling to the art hoping to achieve something peaceful and calming.
Cubism Project
Making this piece was so much fun for me, it challenged me to try accepting the imperfection in my art. My inspiration was the difference between how bright childhood is but as we grow the colors dull shown by the learning letter block. We lose our color and life becomes more of a chore, most Americans have stated that they spend they're week waiting for the weekend which is so different from when we were kids.
